Police: Man in Seaford Ice Cream Shop Case Had Lewd Photos

Man accused in July incident faces new charges.

A man who was arrested in July after police said he was secretly taking photos of an 8-year-old girl, has now been charged with possession of two lewd photographs of young girls, police said Saturday.

Richard Stacel of North Massapequa was busted by an off-duty police officer on July 12 after he was allegedly taking the photos with a cell phone while on line at the Mad Topper Ice Cream store at 1220 Hicksville Road in Seaford.

After further investigation police said Stacel had a computer flash drive which contained a lewd photo of a young girl as well as a photo of a young girl involved in a sexual act.

He now faces charges of ppossession of sexual performance by a child, tampering with physical evidence and unlawful surveillance.

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east ofRead More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.
