A Nassau County police officer was involved in a minor automobile accident Wednesday evening in Seaford while en route to a call in the area.
The accident occurred on Jackson Avenue between Merrick Road and Sunrise Highway just after 6 p.m. An officer at the scene said detectives are still trying to determine the cause of the accident, which was with another car.
The police officer was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
