Police Searching for Wantagh Avenue CVS Robbery Suspect

Man stole five Green Dot prepaid debit cards from the store located along Levittown-Wantagh border.

Nassau County Second Squad detectives are looking for a man who allegedly stole five Green Dot prepaid debit cards from a CVS on Wantagh Avenue. 

On Oct. 1 at 4:05 p.m., the man was seen inside CVS, located at 646 Wantagh Ave., Levittown taking the prepaid cards and exiting the store without paying for the items, according to police. When confronted by a store employee, police said that the man pushed the victim into a door, causing a back injury.    

The subject then proceeded to flee the scene with the stolen merchandise in a red Toyota Camry traveling southbound on Wantagh Avenue.

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east ofRead More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.
