Suspect Allegedly Robs Wantagh Avenue CVS Pharmacy at Gunpoint

Incident occurred at CVS along Levittown-Wantagh border during Hurricane Sandy.

An armed robber allegedly stole medicine from CVS Pharmacy in Levittown along the Wantagh border late Monday afternoon, during Hurricane Sandy.

According to detectives, a male subject, armed with a black handgun, entered CVS Pharmacy located at 646 Wantagh Ave., approached the pharmacist and demanded morphine.


The pharmacist handed the subject assorted medicine and the subject fled through the front door into a dark colored auto. Six employees and no customers were present in the store at the time of the robbery.

No injuries were reported.

The subject is described as a while male, 25-30 years of age, 5’8”-5’9” tall, medium build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. No further description is available.

Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
