Three Young Men Injured in Wantagh Crash

Three young men were injured in a car accident near the entrance to Wednesday evening.

The one car accident involved three male occupants just before 9 p.m. on King Road by the entrance to Wantagh Park off of Merrick Road. A passenger in the backseat of the vehicle, described as a white sports car, suffered "serious" injuries and was transported by Nassau County Police Department ambulance to a local hospital, according to a police spokesman. The driver and front seat passenger suffered minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital by a ambulance.

Police did not release specific details of the accident. The exact ages of the men involved in the crash were not released but they are described as being young adults.
