Wantagh Fire Department Honors 9/11 Victims

Firefighters gather Tuesday morning to remember to remember those lost in terrorist attacks 11 years ago.

The held a remembrance ceremony Tuesday morning to mark the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. 

The memorial service was held in front of the Wantagh Fire District's Station 2 House next to MacArthur High School in Levittown. Former Wantagh firefighters who were killed during the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center were recognized including Tommy Haskel, . 

 The Wantagh Fire District encompasses all of Wantagh and parts of Levittown, Seaford, East Meadow and Bellmore as well as  and Massapequa's Tobay Beach.
