The Wantagh Fire Department will be hosting its annual Santa Run on neighborhood streets this Saturday night as a way of wishing local residents a happy holiday season.
Santa Claus will be making an appearance with the Wantagh Fire Department starting at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the corner of Brookside Avenue and Hickory Street. The Santa Run will then be at the following locations and times:
- 7:50 p.m. - corner of Beech Street & Walters Avenue
- 8:10 p.m. - corner of Beech Street & Nelson Street
- 8:30 p.m. - corner of Woodland Avenue & Broad Street
- 8:50 p.m. - corner of Riverside Drive & Lynbrook Street
- 9:10 p.m. - Mandalay Elementary School Parking Lot
“It’s our way saying happy holidays to the people of Wantagh, especially the residents of south Wantagh after [Superstorm Sandy],” said LT. Paul Krussmann of the Wantagh Fire Department. “Merry Christmas and happy holidays from the officers and members of Wantagh Fire Department Engine Five."
