Wantagh Fire Department Hosting Annual Santa Run Saturday

Santa will be making an appearance in Wantagh neighborhoods Saturday evening.

The Wantagh Fire Department will be hosting its annual Santa Run on neighborhood streets this Saturday night as a way of wishing local residents a happy holiday season.

Santa Claus will be making an appearance with the Wantagh Fire Department starting at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the corner of Brookside Avenue and Hickory Street. The Santa Run will then be at the following locations and times:

  • 7:50 p.m. - corner of Beech Street & Walters Avenue
  • 8:10 p.m. - corner of Beech Street & Nelson Street
  • 8:30 p.m. - corner of Woodland Avenue & Broad Street
  • 8:50 p.m. - corner of Riverside Drive & Lynbrook Street
  • 9:10 p.m. - Mandalay Elementary School Parking Lot

“It’s our way saying happy holidays to the people of Wantagh, especially the residents of south Wantagh after [Superstorm Sandy],” said LT. Paul Krussmann of the Wantagh Fire Department. “Merry Christmas and happy holidays from the officers and members of Wantagh Fire Department Engine Five."
