Wantagh Man Busted on Drug, Fireworks Possession Charges

Donald J. Hollman also has a history of being a violent sex offender.

Nassau Police arrested a Wantagh man after a drug investigation, Monday afternoon.

According to police, Donald J. Hollman, 31, was observed selling marijuana to two separate individuals and was placed under arrested after a short foot pursuit.

While executing a consent search of the defendant’s house officers recovered more than 8 ounces of marihuana, a bottle of concentrated cannabis, more than $1,500 of assorted 1.4 grade fireworks, a switchblade knife and undisclosed amount of money which was seized.

Hollman has a prior history of being a violent sex offender. According to the New York State Sex Offender registry, he was arrested in 2005 on rape and sexual abuse charges. He was sentenced to three years in prison.

Hollman is currently charged with Criminal Sale of Marihuana 2nd degree, Criminal Sale of Marihuana 4th degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of Marihuana 5th degree, Criminal Possession of Marihuana 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, Unlawfully Dealing with Fireworks and Dangerous Fireworks and Explosives, Storage. 

He will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
