Wantagh Man Charged With Attempted Robbery of Uniondale 7-Eleven

Police report that Frank A Andriani confronted clerk at store early Saturday morning and is arrested a short time later.

A Wantagh man was arrested and charged early Saturday morning with attempting to rob a 7-Eleven store in Uniondale with his face covered.

According to detectives, Frank A Andriani, 24, of Wantagh entered into the Seven Eleven store located on 1275 Front St. in Uniondale at 1:10 a.m. Saturday wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt and an orange bandanna covering his face. Andriani approached the 24-year old male victim who was working as a clerk and produced a folding knife while demanding money, police said. He then became fearful and fled on foot out of the store without any proceeds, according to authorities.

The victim was able to call police and provide them with a description of Andriani. First Precinct Police a short time later observed the defendant driving a 2007 Acura south on Laclede Avenue. He was stopped and placed into custody without incident, police said.

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east ofRead More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.
