Grand Larceny
On Oct 29, a Wantagh resident was victimized by a phone scammer claiming to be from the IRS, police said. The victim was asked to pay money to the scammer using a Green Dot MoneyPak.
Petty Larceny
On Oct. 29, storm windows and some screens were stolen from the yard of a home on Cedar Street in Seaford, police said. The thefts took place some time between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
On Nov. 1, a tail gate was reported stolen from a vehicle at the Wantagh LIRR station, polce said. The theft took place between 8 p.m. the night before and 5 p.m.
Criminal Mischief
On Nov. 1, a vehicle was reported damaged at the Seaford LIRR station, police said.
On Nov. 5, a door and dead bolt lock were damaged at a home on Deep Lane in Wantagh, police said.
DWI
On Nov, 2, a Queens man was arrested on Sunrise Highway in Seaford and charged with DWI.
