Wantagh-Seaford Crime Report: Supermarket Scammers

Oct. 15 to Oct. 22

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Petty Larceny

On Oct. 15,  Two scammers stole $430 from the Pathmark at 4055 Merrick Road in Seaford, police said. A man and a woman distracted a cashier while she was ringing up a sale. The female suspect kept touching the cash register, while it was open. Police said that similar case occurred at t North Massapequa supermarket a little while later.

Assault

On Oct. 20, a Seaford man was arrested and charged with assault after he allegedly punched his daughter,  police said.
