i will agree with you that many parents here know their kids are drinking and doing drugs and think its ok because "kids do that" and I totally disagrree with that style of parenting. but i just dont think when a kid grows up and starts robbing it becomes the parents or the cops fault. the kids need to be held accountable. The drug problem here is terrible and the part that is the most frustrating is the parents that stick their head in their sand or allow it.

WTH how do you blame the cops ? ahahah that is a funny one yeah lets just place the blame on someone its got to be someones fault...hmmmm...lets see THE COPS!! ahah come on people wake up!! its how they are raised mostly and the friends they are hanging out with! Be real with your selfs ! The police are there as omni presence to prevent crimes and if crime does occur where they are not they respond and try to apprehend the criminals and bring them to court and let them stand a fair trial... lets stop watching too much tv and trying to find someone to blame for not raising our kids the right and just way !!! take some responsibility!!! i bet if they were drunk driving and hit and killed someone they would say oh my he should have been put in rehab by the cops to prevent this! WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

I didn't blame the cops. Not once did I say the cops are to blame. They are out there doing the best they can too. As a parent you give curfews, have a family dinner every night,no going out on school Nights, talk to your blue in the face and then they make a stupid decision. Some of us do the best we know how and pray our kids get it. Maybe you guys forget what it was like to be 16 or 17 or 18. Sometimes that one decision leads you down the wrong path. Should that 18yr robbing cars be arrested yes. Should we give him help yes. As a parent we will always love our children no matter the crime. But we still believe they must take responsibilite.
