I am an adult medium-sized, female terrier. I make friends quickly with new people and love to be petted and massaged. I enjoy playing with people, and though Im not terribly playful with toys now, I may become more so once in a home.

Because of my size, I might be better in a family with tweens and up, though I tend to be polite and don't jump up much. I'm comfortable with all types of handling and I will readily share my food with people, but I get a little more attached to my chewies.

I am stiff with other dogs and not terribly interested in them. For this reason, I should be kept away from them. I'm really more of a people-centric pooch. I don't know any basic commands but I'm eager to learn for a taste of my favorite treats! I definitely need to learn walk nicely on leash and not to be jumpy, though Im only a mild offender.

If you are interested in adopting Molly, contact the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter at (516) 785-5220 or come in for a visit. The shelter is located at 3320 Beltagh Avenue in Wantagh. Adoption hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. All adopted pets will be spayed or neutered, will receive all required innoculations and will be microchipped, all free of charge.

From June 20 to Sept 20, the shelter is running its "Summer of Love" promotion, which means all adoptions are free!
