Wantagh American Legion Post 1273, honored area victims of 9/11 Wednesday morning in a solemn ceremony.
The annual remembrance featured bells rung in memory of those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks.
First responders and rescuers were also honored.
Among those on hand at the ceremony were State Sen. Charles Fuschillo, R-Merrick, Assemb. Dave McDonough R-North Merrick and Legislator Dave Denenberg D-Merrick.
