There were cheers and barks in Cedar Creek Park over the weekend as the park's popular dog run re-opened.
Residents, animal lovers and officials including County Executive Ed Mangano were on hand for the ribbon cutting.
The renovation was sponsored by Pet Supplies Plus of Long Island, Halo Pet Food and Purina Pro Plan.
Also in attendance were representatives from the North Shore Animal League, who showed off dogs available for adoption.
