Congressman King Battles in Ring at Mulcahy's Boxing Event

Large crowd packed into Wantagh venue to see U.S. Rep Peter King, R-Seaford, duke it out against New York kickboxing champion "Irish" Josh Foley.

A large crowd packed into Mulcahy's Pub & Concert Hall Saturday night to see U.S. Rep. Peter King, R-Seaford, take part in an exhibition boxing match against New York kickboxing champion "Irish" Josh Foley.

Congressman King and Foley, a Long Beach resident, duked it out in the ring for two rounds with no winner declared. To see highlights of the match, view the YouTube video above.

King prepped for his fight at Bellmore Kickboxing Academy. Officials with the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington questioned whether King's involvement in the Mulcahy's boxing event was a House of Representatives ethics violation, but the Seaford lawmaker responded by saying that his participation was just aimed at supporting local business.
