County Places Disaster Relief Trailers in Wantagh and Seaford

Office of Emergency Management places trailer at Rosemary Kennedy School and Cedar Creek Park.

Nassau County has placed trailers in Wantagh and Seaford that will assist area residents in the event of a major storm like Sandy.

The Office of Emergency Management Trailers have been placed at Cedar Creek Park in Seaford and the Rosemary Kennedy BOCES School in North Wantagh.

The trailers "will serve as an easy point of access for crucial recovery and relief resources," County Executive Ed Mangano said.

They are being deployed throughout the County and will  be equipped with cots, blankets, linens, and personal hygiene supplies.

Similar trailers were used after Superstorm Sandy. They gave emergency workers  access to needed resources to provide first aid and shelter to residents in the event of an emergency.
