Free Supplies Distributed in Wantagh for Sandy Victims

State Sen. Charles Fuschillo, R-Merrick, teams up with Long Island Cares to hold free supply distribution program at Wantagh Park.

State Sen. Charles Fuschillo, R-Merrick, sponsored a free supply distribution program at Wantagh Park Tuesday to help families still recovering from the devastation caused by Superstorm Sandy last fall. 

As part of the program, representatives from Hauppauge-based Long Island Cares distributed cleaning supplies, heaters, blankets, non-perishable food, water, and pet food to residents in need. In addition to Senator Fuschillo, the event was also attended by Assemblyman David McDonough, R-North Merrick.

Residents who could not attend the program but are in need of assistance can call Senator Fuschillo’s office at 516-882-0630 or Long Island Cares at 631-582-FOOD.
