Gov. Cuomo Deploys Financial Experts to Assist Sandy Victims

Representatives from the Department of Financial Services will be coming to Cedar Creek Park in Seaford this Saturday.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo is continuing to deploy representatives of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) to locations in Nassau County to help homeowners and business owners affected by Superstorm Sandy apply for recovery aid that was approved by the federal government last week.

The Department’s representatives will be available to meet with residents inside the agency's Mobile Command Center, which will be stationed at these locations:

  • Friday, May 3: Freeport Recreation Center- 130 E. Merrick Rd., Freeport, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sat., May 4: Cedar Creek Park, Seaford, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Mon., May 6: Toys R Us Parking Lot, 5520 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
DFS representatives will also be available to assist with insurance-related issues stemming from damage caused by Sandy. Additional locations will be announced in the future.
