Hempstead Lacrosse Clinics on Tap for Seaford

Town announces four instructional sessions at Seamans Neck Park in June and July.

The Town of Hempstead recently announced that it will hold four lacrosse academy clinics this summer at in Seaford.

The Town of Hempstead Lacrosse Academy clinic sessions set for Seaman Neck Park include:

  • June 18 to June 21 - 6 to 9 p.m. (ages six to 15)
  • June 25 to June 28 - 9 a.m. to noon (ages seven to 15)
  • June 25 to June 28 – 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. (ages five & six)

The town has also scheduled a girls lacrosse All-Star position clinic for ages 10-15 from July 16-19 from 7-9 p.m. at Seamans Neck Park. This instruction, which is limited to players who have at least three years experience in an organized league, “will focus on individual lacrosse positions (including goalie), with specific and strategic drills to further develop skills and instincts.”

The Town of Hempstead Lacrosse Academy was launched in 2005 and features college and high school coaches along with collegiate players as instructors.

“Since its creation in 2005, the lacrosse academy has provided expert instruction for boys and girls in an effort to improve skill level and increase fun,” said Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray.

Two-hour clinics for ages five and six are priced at $60 per child. The three-hour clinics and the all-star sessions are priced at $70 per youngster. There is a reduced rate of $50 for additional family members at both the three-hour and two-hour clinics.
