The last three (3) items deal with potential subdivision of parcels on the west side of Wantagh Avenue, north of Seneca Place and south of the Wantagh Museum. The Wantagh Museum is operated by the Wantagh Preservation Society, for whom I serve as the President. In June the officers and trustees of the Society met with the developer, Mr. Ogilvie at the museum for a question and answer forum. After thit forum, the trustees decided that the Society would take NO POSITION, either for or against, the proposed subdivisions. Individaul members are certainly free to form, express and support their own positions respective of this development, but those positions should not be construed as representing the position of the Society. Another Wantagh Internet venue today carried a notice incorrectly stating that the Wantagh Preservation Society opposes the subdivisions, and also stating that the Society is seeking support from neigbors in Wantagh to oppose the subdivisions. Neither of those statements are accurate as they relate to the Wantagh Preservation Society.
