LIRR Concerns to be Addressed at Forum in Wantagh

MTA representatives will address issues related to local train stations during Monday night forum at Wantagh Public Library.

MTA Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) representatives will be at the Monday night for a forum addressing commuter concerns at local train stations on the Babylon branch.

The forum, which is being presented by Nassau County Legis., Dave Denenberg, D-Merrick, starts at 8 p.m. and will address issues related to the LIRR stations in , , Bellmore, Merrick and Freeport. LIRR personnel will also respond questions about general train service.

The LIRR is run by the state and not the county but Legis. Denenberg organized the forum as a way to address issues raised by local commuters. Denenberg's 19th district covers Bellmore, North Bellmore, Merrick and parts of Freeport, North Merrick and Wantagh.
