New York Rising to Host Seaford Meeting Thursday

Seaford High School to host public meeting on reconstruction program.

The state sponsored program mandated to assist residents affected by Superstorm Sandy will host a public meeting open to Wantagh-Seaford residnets on Thursday.

The New York Rising Community Reconstruction Program will hold the meeting in the cafeteria of Seaford High School  at 7 p.m.

Residents are being encouraged to learn about the program and share there ideas with the  program's planning committee.

New York Rising was created to disperse a federal grant of funds to rebuild communities affected by the storm.

Seaford was given $7.8 million, while Wantagh received $3.3 million.
