Seaford HS Senior Honored by Town of Hempstead

Jacqueline Meyer receives Town of Hempstead Community Service and Academic Excellence Award.

The Town of Hempstead recently honored a graduating senior for her excellence in the classroom and giving back to others.

Hempstead Town Clerk Mark A. Bonilla presented the Town of Hempstead Community Service and Academic Excellence Award to Jacqueline Meyer. Meyer who was recently honored at Seaford High School’s Annual Awards Program. Joining Bonilla and Meyer for the award presentation were Seaford High School Principal , Assistant Principal Scott Bersin, and Assistant Principal Carisa Burzynski.

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east of…Read More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.
