Seaford Library to Make Technology Improvements

Library receives funds from state.

The Seaford library is about to get a technology upgrade, courtesy of some state funding.

The library will receive money secured by State Sen. Charles Fuschillo, R-Merrick.

It will be used to upgrade computers and other equipment and will also fund the purchase of a public access  scanner.

"We also have been redesigning our library’s website to make it more functional, informative and accessible," said library director Frank McKenna, who added that he hopes to have the new website up by the new year.

"Utilizing this new technology will allow the Library to further improve these services for the residents it serves,” Fuschillo said.
