Storm Centers Open for Sandy Victims to Complete Pre-Registration

Three state programs implemented to assist home and business owners.

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano announced the implementation of three New York State programs, administered by Nassau County, to assist homeowners and business owners that were impacted by Superstorm Sandy.

The implementation of these programs is moving forward with the understanding that funds, although approved by the United States Congress, are still not yet available and details of the programs are still being developed and may change before a final version of the programs are released.

“Working with Governor Cuomo and his staff, we are pleased to launch a pre-registration assistance to prepare residents to apply for vital recovery programs,” said County Executive Mangano. “I encourage all of the residents and business owners eligible for Sandy recovery programs to visit the website and to stop by one of the Disaster Recovery Centers this Saturday to complete the pre-application process.”
