Student Collects Supplies for Hempstead Animal Shelter

A Merrick middle school student recently collected supplies on behalf of the in Wantagh as part of a community service Bat Mitzvah project.
student Rebecca Goldstein focused her Bat Mitzvah project on collecting various toys, biscuits and food for pets at the shelter, which is located on 3320 Beltagh Ave., Wantagh. In recognition of her her efforts, Goldstein was presented an official Town of Hempstead citation by Supervisor Kate Murray and Councilwoman Angie Cullin, R-Freeport.
