Voters Pass Seaford Public Library Budget

Spending proposal passes by 74 votes.

Seaford residents overwhelmingly approved next year’s library budget today.

The proposed budget was approved by 74 votes, 110 to 36. The approved spending plan represents a 3.77 percent increase over the current Seaford Public Library budget. The increase will amount to a tax increase of 92 cents a month or $11.05 a year for the average Seaford homeowner, according to library officials.

"We appreciate the continued support of the Seaford library community as we move forward in providing the best of services, materials and collections that we can," said Seaford Public Library Director Frank McKenna soon after the budget vote results were announced. "We deeply appreciate the support."
