A new tenant is sought for 2090 Wantagh Ave. where “U” Roll Your Own! one stood.

A former tobacco shop in Wantagh is vacant with the storefront’s owner seeking a new tenant for the space.

The open retail spot that once housed “U” Roll Your Own! is located on 2090 Wantagh Ave. and measures 2,450 square feet, according to a propery profile on LoopNet.com. A salon called Purple Nails & Spa also previously occupied the space, which is located next to the office of Dr. Gerald Ciccarello.

The owner of the property, Herbert Siegler of Wantagh-based GII Construction Co., could not be reached for comment on what kinds of tenants have expressed interest in the space.

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east ofRead More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.
