Medical Care Facility Planned for New Sunrise Highway Plaza

North Shore Urgent Care fills final spot in new Wantagh Town Plaza.

A medical care facility has filled the last spot in a new retail plaza off Sunrise Highway in Wantagh.

North Shore Urgent Care has leased the northernmost space in the 0.72-acre property, which was formerly occupied by Nassau OTB before Larry Weinger of Bellmore-based MGD Investments acquired the parcel for $3.4 million in 2009. The Wantagh Town Plaza on 3430 Sunrise Hwy. also features national frozen yogurt franchise Red Mango, which opened in October, as well as a soon-to-open Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza and Mathnasium.

North Shore Urgent Care also has locations in Nesconset and East Northport. The Nesconset-based company offers general medical care and urgent care services.

A good addition, a good "mix" of tenants.

thanks..it took alot of hard work and perseverance but its beautiful when a good plan comes to fruition. This new redevelopment of an old building that made no contribution to the community..will generate a great deal of sales tax revenue for the county, the merchants will contribute to the general and local school taxes..as well as create great jobs from hi paying medical and restaurant managment to full time and part time positions for servers ,bus boys cleaners..so its very diverse and will be a great uplift to the community.
