Everything you’ve always wanted to know about property taxes but didn’t know who to ask. Donald X. Clavin, the Town of Hempstead Receiver of taxes will be on hand to discuss how to decipher your tax bill, how to challenge your assessment, property exemptions (for seniors, veterans, etc.), payment dates, property values and other pertinent issues. A question and answer period will follow. Registration begins Thursday, October 18th at the Reference Desk.
