Updated Results: Wantagh-Seaford Passes Budget

Also, Michael Cucci and Ann-Marie Sturniolo elected to BOE.

The Wantagh School District budget passed in a landslide Tuesday, school officials confirmed.

Of the 1,880 people who cast their votes, 1,427 voted in favor of the budget. 453 residents, less than 25 percent, voted against the budget.

Michael Cucci and Ann-Marie Sturniolo were also elected to the Wantagh Board of Education after running unopposed.

In Seaford, Brian Fagan and Stacie Stark were voted to serve on the Board of Education.

I'm sure I speak for all the Veterans who live in Seaford when I thank the residents for passing the School Tax Exemption for Veterans in yesterday's ballot; yes': 1280 no's: 448. Thank you for understanding the sacrifice these men and women were willing to make to keep our country free and fought for liberty around the world. They did so 100 years ago and they are doing so today. God bless them, and God bless the residents of Seaford.
