Maria Regina Student Named Winner in National Pet Poetry Contest

Seventh grader Melina Randazzo chosen as one of six winners out of 1,000 entries in fourth annual Pets Add Life Children’s Poetry Contest.

The seventh grade students at  in Seaford recently wrote poems about pets for their religion class and entered the fourth annual Pets Add Life Children’s Poetry Contest. 

Out of 1,000 entries, Melina Randazzo was chosen as one of the six winners for her poem about the joy and happiness that pets bring. Randazzo will receive a $250 gift certificate for pet products, a national by-line in Everydog magazine, and a $1,000 scholarship for her classroom to be spent on pet-related education.
