Teams are finalized for the Third Annual Matthew Logan Scarpati Memorial Soccer Tournament, which honors of the 19-year-old Half Hollow Hills graduate who was struck and killed in 2009 by a drunk driver in Wantagh.

The Tournament, shceduled for Saturday at Half Hollow Hills High School East in Dix Hills, was created to memorialize Scarpati, who was an avid soccer player and member of the high school's varsity team. In July 2009, a drunken motorcyclist veered off of the road, struck and killed Scarpati, who was changing a flat bicycle tire on the Wantagh Bike Path, which runs adjacent to the Wantagh Parkway.
