Past Wantagh Football Players to Be Saluted at Program's 500th Game

Wantagh's 500th all-time varsity football game is scheduled for Sept. 15 against MacArthur.

The varsity football team will be playing its 500th game in program history next month and will be announcing many of Warrior gridiron alumni during the historic occasion.

Wantagh's 500th all-time football game is scheduled for Sept. 15 at home against neighborhood opponent MacArthur starting at 1:30 p.m. Former Warrior football players who want to be announced during the game are asked to contact Bill Bogatz, the voice of the Warriors, at bogatzb@wantaghschools.org. and include their name, year of graduation, position played and uniform number. 

The Wantagh football team opens its 2012 season on Sept. 8 at Calhoun for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff. For Wantagh's complete 2012 football schedule, click .
