Despite uncooperative weather, friends and family filled the gymnasium Friday evening as Wantagh's Class of 2012 bid farewell to a district most have called home for more than a decade.
Interim Superintendent of Schools Dr. Carl Bonuso, whose time within the Wantagh School District will also end this year, wished the graduating seniors well as they move along in their journey, reminding them to always remember the community where it started. The Class of 2012 valedictorian was with the salutatorian.
