Seaford Homecoming Set for Saturday

Parade and football game to pay tribute to heroes.

Viking Pride will be in full force Saturday as Seaford celebrates their annual homecoming.

The day will begin at 3 p.m. with the annual parade which steps of at the Seaford Public Library on Jackson Avenue.   

There will be two Grand Marshalls this year.  MaryAnn Gorman and Coleen Graziose, two past presidents of the Manor School PTA and PTSA.

The theme of this year's parade will be "God Bless America: A Tribute to our Heroes,” and the march will be led by the US Army Color Guard followed by an Army Humvee. There will be class floats and clubs and student organizations will also  take part.

The parade will head east on Merrick Road and then north on Washington Avenue and Keily Drive.

The game against North SHore High School will kick off at 5 p.m.  THe booster club will sell school apparel and refreshments  while the halftime show will recognize the winning float, the grand marshals and the Homecoming King and Queen.
