Seaford Manor Kindergartners Now Library Cardholders

young issued Seaforf Public Library cards.

Kindergartners from Seaford Manor Elementary School can now check out books and other materials from the Seaford Public Library with their own library cards.

The young readers were issued cards by Miss Cindy, the beloved storyteller from the library’s children room, during a ceremony in front of their families and friends. Miss Cindy entertained the youngsters with the popular “There’s a Hole in the Bucket” song and the folktale “The Rabbit and the Well” before the students were made official cardholders. The students showed their appreciation by singing a song, and presenting Miss Cindy with a plant and a “thank you” banner that was signed by all of the children.

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east ofRead More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.

True, true, I'm sure there's a political payoff/payback here somewhere.

A tantalizing, mind-teasing story about a faceless team with no names who won honorable mention forRead More some project about which we learned absolutely nothing from this article. Journalism 101: Who what, why when and where?
