Seaford Robotics Team Competing in Nationals

Seaford's first qualifier in the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology national robotics championship in St. Louis scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

The Seaford High school Engineering/Robotics Club is competing in the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) national robotics championship in St. Louis this week.

Seaford qualified for the prestigious competition by winning the Rookie Highest Seed Award during the 14th Annual Long Island Regional FIRST Robotics competition held at Hofstra University from April 4-6. The students were able to successfully fundraise for the trip to St. Louis in a short time-window.

Seaford’s first qualifier in the Gaileo category is scheduled for 2:24 p.m. Thursday. The team’s progress can be viewed on a live streaming video being posted on the FIRST Robotics Championship website.
