Seaford School Board Seeking Applications to Fill Vacated Seat

Board of Education hoping to fill trustee position by Sept. 1 after John DelGuidice's sudden resignation.

A day after John DelGuidice’s from the Seaford Board of Education, an announcement has been posted on the school district’s website seeking a replacement for his vacated trustee position.

The announcement mentions that the Seaford Board of Education is seeking candidates to fill an interim trustee position, which would expire on May 15, 2012. The school board is hoping to receive résumés and letters of interest this month and will begin reviewing candidates at its scheduled July 20 workshop meeting. The school board is hoping to fill the interim trustee seat by Sept. 1.

DelGuidice was first elected as a Seaford school board member in 2007. He cited a disagreement with board’s decision to make Brian Fagan school board president for a second straight year as his reason for resigning. The resignation leaves the school board with four trustees during the summer months.
