Seaford Students’ Artwork Selected for All-County Exhibit

Twenty three Seaford students selected to have their artwork displayed in the the Art Supervisors Association’s Ninth Annual Nassau All-County Art Exhibition at Adelphi University.

The artwork of 23 students from the Seaford School District was selected for display in the Art Supervisors Association’s Ninth Annual Nassau All-County Art Exhibition. The exhibit takes place on Sunday, March 17, from noon- 4 p.m. at the Ruth S. Harley Center at Adelphi University.

The free exhibit honors the talents of nearly 1,200 young artists in kindergarten through 12th grade who have demonstrated excellence in a wide variety of two-dimensional visual art forms, including drawing, painting, printmaking, computer graphics and photography. Student entries are selected by art educators and are limited to a maximum of three pieces of artwork from each teacher. All of the pieces are produced in alignment with the New York State Learning Standards for Visual Arts.

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east ofRead More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.
