Seaford Teachers Honored

Six educators in Seaford School District receive Teacher of the Year awards from American Legion.

A half dozen Seaford teachers were recently honored for their contributions to education in a ceremony at the Seaford American Legion Hall.

The Seaford American Legion-Edwin Welch, Jr. Post 1132 held its annual Teachers and Citizen of the Year Award. ceremony on April  17 and recognized six local educators.  This year's Teacher of the Year award winners included Maureen Tobin (Seaford Harbor School), Maura Coghlan (Seaford Manor School), Michael Burns and Michael Milano (Seaford Middle School) and Shari Raduazzo and Tania Cintorino (Seaford High School).  

The Seaford American Legion also awarded Rick Falta with the Citizen of the Year Award. Falta is the founder of Victor Insurance Agency in Seaford.

Hempstead Town Clerk Mark Bonilla attended the ceremony and presented citations to each of the award recipients.
