Wantagh HS Senior Girls Display Support For Football Classmates

More than two dozen Wantagh students make banner honoring Warrior football seniors for their county football title game against Garden City.

More than two dozen Wantagh High School senior girls displayed support for their Warrior football classmates throughout the 2012 season including Sunday's Nassau County Conference II title game appearance at Hofstra University. .

Twenty nine Wantagh students made a banner saluting the 19 Warrior seniors before what ended up being their final high school football game on Sunday after falling in a 21-17 heartbreaker to Garden City in the Nassau County finals at Hofstra's Shuart Stadium. The girls also supported their classmates by attending all the regular season and two playoff games leading up to the county championship. 

The Wantagh senior girls who participated in making the banner for Sunday's game included: Samantha Balzano, Colleen Lovett, Hailey Orgass, Brianna Melfa, Erin Gauck, Corey Carson, Ellen Charalambous, Jill Rodesk, Megan McCormack, Lauren Ganzakaufer, Jackie Beshlian, Brianna Quinn, Christine Cornella, Jessica Hack, Christina Ellul, Carly Simeone, Anna Paulik, Katherine Moran, Carly Fonden, Zoe Lipman, Gabriella Paradiso, Catie Ingrilli, Kristen Struzzieri, Sophia Gambitsky, Julie Struzzieri, Genna Lerner and Melissa Eurich.
