Gabrielle Soethout selected to have project displayed by New York State Art Teachers Association.

student Gabrielle Soethout was selected to have one of her art projects displayed in the New York State Capitol building in Albany.

Soethout’s art project titled “Tree of Life” was on display as part of the New York State Art Teachers Association’s annual Legislative Student Art Exhibition. Each spring, the organization arranges to have the work of aspiring young artists from across the state displayed in Albany.

State Sen. Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. , R-Merrick, and Assemblyman David G. McDonough, R-North Merrick, recently welcomed Soethout and her parents, Mike and Lisa to Albany and joined them in viewing her project during its exhibit in the Legislative Office Building.

"This is a great honor for a great young artist,” said Senator Fuschillo. “Legislators, staff members, and visitors across the state were able to see Gabrielle’s talents on display in Albany. I am pleased that I was able to join with Gabrielle and her family in celebrating her accomplishment.”
