Wantagh Schools Business Chief Departing for Garden City

Assistant Superintendent for Business Dana DiCapua resigns after accepting similar role in Garden City School District.

The Wantagh School District is now in search of a new business chief.

Superintendent Maureen Goldberg announced this week that Assistant Superintendent for Business Dana DiCapua submitted her resignation to the board of education effective June 30 after being appointed this past Tuesday evening to take on a similar in the Garden City School District. The school board will formally accept DiCapua’s resignation at its scheduled June 13 meeting.

“We thank Ms. DiCapua for her work on behalf of our school district and the community and wish her continued success,” said Goldberg in a statement. “The board will be deciding on a course of action regarding filling this position and we will keep the community informed.”

DiCapua has served as Wantagh’s top business official since the 2008/2009 school year. She was granted tenure in May 2011.
