Wantagh, Seaford Teachers Nominated for KJOY Award

Educators from Forest Lake and Seaford Manor elementary schools among six finalists in the Long Island radio station's monthly contest for March.

Two educators from Wantagh and Seaford schools have been named finalists in a March "Teacher of the Month" contest organized by Long Island radio station KJOY 98.3.

Caitlin Schneider, an art teacher at Forest Lake Elementary School in Wantagh, and Katie Haug, a first grade teacher at Seaford Manor School, have been nominated for the contest where the winner receives $250 in cash and a year supply of TastyKakes courtesy of Learning RX. The other teachers up for the award are from West Babylon, Hicksville, East Meadow and Island Trees.
