Wantagh Teen Awarded Holy Trinity HS Scholarship

Emily Jannace is one of four Holy Trinity juniors awarded a scholarship for her senior year by the Office of Institutional Advancement.

Wantagh resident Emily Jannace is one of four juniors at Holy Trinity High School in Hicksville to awarded a scholarship for her senior year by the Office of Institutional Advancement.

Members of Holy Trinity’s junior class are nominated by the teachers and guidance counselors based on excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership and service.  Jannace was awarded the scholarship during Holy Trinity’s annual Junior Ring Night Ceremony on March 22.

Jannace has been a medalist at the Long Island Al Kalfus Math Fair and a member of the Math Honor Society as well as a math tutor. She has been a Girl Scout since kindergarten and is an Altar Server and CYO coach at Holy Family Parish in Hicksville as well as being a lector at Holy Trinity all while maintaining a weighted average of over 97 percent.

Other Holy Trinity juniors awarded scholarships included Dominique Calandrillo of Garden City, Cory Robinson of Bethpage and Jonathan Trencheny of Rockville Centre.
