Wantagh Teen Helps Launch Dance Program

MacArthur High School student Rescigno recognized for help in launching Broadway Dance Academy’s first BDWY Breakerz team.

The following was submitted by Elizabeth Sobel from the Levittown School District.

Wantagh resident and MacArthur High School student Matthew Rescigno was recently photographed and featured on the front cover of Newsday’s Explore LI for his help in launching the Broadway Dance Academy’s first BDWY Breakerz team, a boys-only break dance/hip-hop competition group.

Rescigno has been a dancer for many years and enjoys dancing with an all-male team.

“Having an all-male dance class with a male instructor pushes me to be the best I can be,” he said.

A well-rounded student, Rescigno is a member of the National Honor Society and a Levittown School District Renaissance cardholder.

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east ofRead More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.

True, true, I'm sure there's a political payoff/payback here somewhere.

A tantalizing, mind-teasing story about a faceless team with no names who won honorable mention forRead More some project about which we learned absolutely nothing from this article. Journalism 101: Who what, why when and where?
