4 Wantagh HS Football Players Selected to All Star Game

Warrior gridders to suit up in Nassau Senior Bowl Thanksgiving Eve.

Four football players will be suiting up Thanksgiving Eve in the Nassau Senior Bowl.

The Wantagh players selected to participate in the all star game pitting the top players from Conference II/II against Conference I/IV are fullback John Reicherter, tight end Ryan Walsh, safety Mike Scully and wide receiver Ryan Sliwak. The Wantagh players will be on the Conference II/III team, which consists of 46 of the county's top players not counting those whose teams played in the Nassau County finals this past weekend.

Scully, Walsh, Sliwak and Reicherter helped lead Wantagh to a 7-3 season, which ended with a hard-fought 21-7 to Garden City in the Nassau County Conference II semifinals at Hofstra on Nov. 13.
