CW Post Women's Lacrosse Attacker from Wantagh Wins ECC Player of the Week Honors

Jackie Sileo helping lead Pioneers to successful season in Division II.

CW Post women's lacrosse sophomore attacker Jackie Sileo, who had a heralded career at , was named East Coast Conference Player of the Week this past Monday. 

Sileo led the Pioneers to a 2-0 week with 15 points. The Wantagh High School product registered a goal and five assists in a 20-5 victory at Bridgeport on April 18 and then led the Pioneers with nine points on two goals and seven assists in a 15-13 home win over seventh-ranked Stonehill.

As a freshman last year, Sileo recorded one of the best rookie seasons in CW Post women's lacrosse history with 117 points while being named to the IWLCA All-America Second Team. Her 67 assists in 2011 ranked third nationally in Division II.

Sileo's career at Wantagh included earning all-conference and all-county honors as well as All-America honorable mention. She led Nassau County in assists as a senior in 2010 while leading the Lady Warriors to the Class B title game. 

Fifth-ranked CW Post (12-2) is coming off a 18-15 loss at eighth-ranked West Chester on Monday. CW Post is next in action this Saturday at top-ranked Adelphi starting at 4 p.m.
